Program Overview
The Silent Book Club
Moments of peace and connection can be challenging in a world that is full of noise and distraction —the Silent Book Club, celebrates the joy of reading silently while promoting a sense of community. A safe and friendly environment offering space to read and share the energy with other likeminded people. Unlike other book clubs there are no assigned books to read or time limits, chose your own material and enjoy the pleasure of reading at your own pace.
We welcome people of all ages and backgrounds, there are no guidelines on what to read, and this ensures us inclusivity and diversity.
For the introverts amongst us the silent book club is a perfect alternative to the traditional meetings. The silence creates a relaxing space without the pressure of conversation.
Cost £1 this covers a hot or cold drink.
Art and Movement Workshops
Creative arts is used to help treat our mental health and general wellbeing and is well documented to show it can improve focus, assist with processing emotions, improve communication and increase self-esteem.
This program has been specifically designed by a member of staff with extensive lived experience and a passion for supporting others to improve their mental Health and wellbeing.
Each session includes gentle movement and creative art activities using a variety of mediums. The focus in these sessions is on the process of art making as opposed to the product with individuals exploring which art activities they feel benefit their mental health and wellbeing in order to develop their own tools and coping mechanisms.
